Keep working in your conversation
The trusted local hook can check submitted prompts and the active model. The pilot only nudges for a narrow set of routine edits, at most once per session.
Check whether the advice helped
Record whether you followed the recommendation and whether the result met your needs. Model observations and confirmed outcomes stay separate.
What’s available today
The browser advisor and downloadable local plugin are ready to try. Public ChatGPT directory installation, website signup and cross-device reporting are not available yet. The local hook does not monitor ordinary ChatGPT web chats, change models or read billing data.
Local installation and privacy
The ZIP includes a supported plugin manifest, skill, local hook and tested helper scripts. Add it to a personal or team plugin marketplace using the package instructions, install it, then start a new task. Review the hook in your host’s hook controls before enabling it.
Local records contain event identifiers, timestamps, recognised model families and user-reported outcomes. They do not contain prompts, email contents or transcripts. Disable the plugin to stop collection. No records are sent to our website.
MEASURE WHAT MATTERS
Efficiency with evidence.
A switch is not a saving.
A lighter model can require more attempts. Good advice must preserve quality and account for the work it adds.
- Observed: the model at a supported prompt event.
- Reported: whether the user followed advice and liked the result.
- Estimated: a cost difference under stated assumptions.
Fewer credits used does not automatically lower a fixed subscription fee. We do not turn message counts into money saved.
A few important distinctions.
Does the plugin choose my model automatically?
No. It advises you. The active model comes from supported local hook events; model changes remain under your control. Reasoning and speed guidance must be checked against the settings available in your product.
Will this save me money?
That is a hypothesis to test, not a promise. Cash savings require a relevant billing baseline and comparable successful outcomes. A fixed subscription can stay the same even when you use fewer credits. This pilot reports no verified monetary savings.
How reliable are the recommendations?
The assistant uses the context you share; the helper applies editorial routing rules. Passive screening is deliberately narrow and may miss opportunities. These recommendations are starting points, not benchmark-proven optimal choices. Email can be consequential; code can be simple.
